Mr. Hill is the founder and current Chairman of Hill & Associates Ltd. His vision and leadership have led to the creation of one of the world’s largest and most respected risk management & security consultancy firms. With 22 offices in 14 countries and employing approximately 450 people, Hill & Associates serves over 1000 clients, including many of the world’s leading multinational corporations.
Mr. Hill has had wide international exposure at strategic policy-making level and is a recognised specialist in the development of comprehensive strategies aimed at protecting assets, personnel and critical infrastructure; with a strong focus on improving resiliency and response during times of crisis. In his early career, Mr. Hill served and held senior operational positions in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force, including Commander of Hong Kong’s Counter-Terrorist Response & Technical Surveillance Units. During this time, Mr. Hill played a key role in shaping the development of government policies, planning of national crisis response and management of major incidents impacting national security. Mr. Hill also consulted and co-operated very closely with government agencies and specialist units in the US, UK and continental Europe.
Upon leaving the police force in 1992, Mr. Hill established a risk consulting firm, the predecessor to Hill & Associates, in order to support the needs of multinational clients establishing and operating businesses in the developing and frequently unstable countries in Asia and the Middle East.
Today, Mr. Hill remains deeply involved in the business and regularly provides advice to clients on issues ranging from corporate governance, to fraud prevention, information assurance and the development of enterprise-wide risk management strategies.
Mr. Hill is a Fellow of the British Institute of Management and a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO) and the International Professional Security Association (IPSA).
