Widespread fraud, product tampering, theft, vandalism, labour disputes and extortion were crippling a well-known European food and drink company in China.H&A assessment revealed tampering with ingredients of a processed drink by introducing a potential poisonous element to boost volume.H&A investigators identified an elaborate conspiracy that included elements of organized crime and government representatives as the motive behind the tampering.

H&A advised the company on variety of measures to manage the situation and avoid a crisis.In addition, H&A acted as primary liaison with local government and law enforcement impending any illicit involvement and ensuring future cooperation with factory management.  Finally, H&A established a comprehensive set of new practices, policies and procedures aimed at preventing fraud and corruption in future.
