With piracy on the increase and renewed concern in recent months over the potential for terrorist attacks, one of the most strategically important oil tanker fleets in the world contracted Hill & Associates to provide a complete security review and threat assessment of its maritime operations from the Middle East to Asia Pacific.

The review assessed the potential threats and the current capability of the company to address those threats. It subsequently concluded that significant improvement needed to be made to security training, policies, procedures and counter-measures so as to minimize the threat to an acceptable level and specific recommendations were made to do so.
