Andrew has a career spanning nearly 30 years in managing risk, crisis response, compliance and security of assets. Andrew started his professional career in the Hong Kong Police where he served in numerous uniform and investigation branches of the force before transitioning to the enterprise risk industry when he joined a global risk consultancy company and gained significant expertise in corporate strategies for the protection of intellectual property , fraud and corruption investigations, due diligence, asset protection and crisis management, as well as other business services within the enterprise risk management environment.
Following a number of successful years at IFPI Andrew returned to the enterprise risk management industry joining another global consulting company as a Senior Vice President. During this time, he conceived and developed an Asia-wide intelligence capture and analysis database designed to proactively identify major counterfeiting syndicates operating in the pharmaceutical, tobacco and alcohol industries. Additionally, he successfully managed a wide range of international and Hong Kong based investigations for multinational clients, covering fraud, due diligence and asset tracing, as well as developing and presenting customized training programs for multinationals in areas of security, intellectual property, business continuity and risk management.
Prior to coming to Hill & Associates Andrew spent 12 years as the Director, Global Security Asia Pacific & Japan for an industry leader in computer software engineering. During this time, he oversaw the implementation of company security policies - both physical and procedural - to mitigate identified ongoing or emerging risks within the Asia Pacific region as well as conducting internal and external regional investigations and overseeing employee training to establish a culture of excellence surrounding security. Additionally, he managed and trained the regional crisis management team, who were utilized on a number of occasions. He was also responsible for regularly conducting region-wide security reviews covering risk audits and vulnerability assessments of the company facilities and those of 3rd party vendors and the companies. As well as providing travel security support for company staff and VIPs, especially in countries deemed at high risk.
