Security Risk Management Consultant (SRM)

Job Overview

The role will include the full spectrum of services & related activity for the SRM Service Line working to the SRM Service Line Lead – Greater China.

Key Accountabilities - Security Risk Management (75%)

To assist the Security Risk Management Service Line Lead – Greater China of the SRM Division of Hill & Associates Limited by developing and executing tasks that are aligned with the global, regional and Hill & Associates's own risk consulting strategy. The following list is not exhaustive but indicative of the type of tasks which maybe required. Tasks may be delivered in English and or Chinese:

• Executing client engagements in close cooperation with the SRM Service Line Lead – Greater China

• Conducting, Security Risk Vulnerability Risk Assessments of client properties such as residences, offices, working sites etc

• Capital Project Risk Management Support

• Updating Old or Creating New Crisis Management & Emergency Response Plans

• Under the guidance of the SRM Service Line Lead – Greater China, produce reports in accordance with existing templates & standards

• Compiling Security Guard Force SOP’s & KPIs

• Developing Materials & Conducting Training to match Client & Project needs

• Conduct Socialisation Briefings & Workshops in SRM Related Subjects

• Prepared to deploy Greater China wide & Regionally in support of SRM Project

• Acting as Consultant & Security Advisor to Retained Clients

• Maintaining contacts & sourcing security-related information which benefits the company’s operations

• Assisting the SRM SLL in scheduling risk management work activities

• Marketing & Sales development as required, including acting as the Client Account Manager of a number of major accounts as required

• Other tasks required by the company that fall within the purview of the post

• Undertake training as required to deliver services & meet the contractual safety requirement

• Under the supervision of the SRM SLL Greater China, update Salesforce to reflect prospects & clients activity

• Stand in for the SRM SLL in his absence

Key Accountabilities - Marketing (25%)

• Engages with all H&A Service Line Leaders to understand their Marketing Nee

• Schedules appointments and meetings as necessary to match Client availability

• Answers questions from clients

• Makes product knowledge readily available to clients through various resources

• Finds ways to sell products in the face of a down market

• Researches client base to find new types of customers and sells to them accordingly

• Creates an Annual Marketing Plan for;

a. gaining new clients

b. retaining existing clients

c. targeting new markets/services by innovation

• Analyses the competition for market place awareness

• Makes products & services appealing to the target market

• Attends networking and marketing event opportunities

Key Performance Indicators

Performance will be based on agreed targets set as part of an appraisal & objective setting process. This will include:

• Origination sales target

• Managed sales target

• Utilisation target of 60% and above

• Capture of new clients - evidenced by paid engagements


The job holder will be highly motivated & equipped with the following professional experience:

• Experienced in SRM – ideally certified

• Prior risk consulting or risk management experience (5 to 8 years’ experience within a professional services environment)

• Proven Leadership & Managerial skills

• Poses a ‘current & active’ network of key Government Security personnel; Police & ICAC

• Prior case/project management & report writing experience

• Problem-solving & solution-oriented approach with strong analytical skills

• Proactive, with strong organisational skills & self-starter qualities also knowing when to seek line management advice

• Sound commercial knowledge & understanding of ‘doing business’ in complex environments

• Ability to Communicate & present to all levels

• Fluent English; Putonghua

• Able to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks & prioritize workload to meet deadlines

• Strategizing, building capability to achieve the targets assigned to the division

• Experience of Marketing & Sales in support of a Greater China based company
